Veterinary Urgent Care Group is an employee-owned veterinary network on a mission to put veterinary medicine back in the hands of the professionals who practice it, at every level. Our St. John’s location is one of our newest, which means the veterinarian who joins now has an opportunity to help establish the clinic, its standards, and its place in the community from day one.
Our urgent care model fills the gap between general practice and after-hours emergency care. We focus exclusively on urgent cases, so the caseload stays varied and engaging. Our team provides full diagnostic services, handles a wide range of surgical and procedural needs, and treats every client conversation with genuine compassion. Above all, we work collaboratively, with every team member empowered as an owner who has a hand in how the practice grows and succeeds.
The Perks
- Our veterinarians are business partners, owning 10% equivalent of a hospital at the parent company level
- Quarterly profit share bonus
- A base salary of $150,000 or 25% of production, whichever is greater (total compensation of $150K–$200K)
- An average 32–36 hour work week + team meetings

The Candidate
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university
- Licensure in good standing to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador
- Interest in Emergency Medicine without the challenging hours
- Curiosity about the business side of veterinary work and what ownership really means
