About Our Urgent Veterinary Clinic
🏥 A modern urgent care environment
Our St. John’s clinic is equipped to manage a wide range of urgent veterinary cases, with in-house laboratory capabilities, digital diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, treatment areas, and the equipment our medical team needs to provide timely care.
📍 Located in St. John’s, Newfoundland
You’ll work at our clinic at 193 Kenmount Road, serving pets and pet owners from St. John’s and surrounding Newfoundland communities.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
🎓 Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
🧠 Two or more years of direct patient care experience is preferred.
📚 You have successfully completed the Veterinary Technician National Examination or are preparing to complete it shortly.
⚡ You are proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and able to remain composed when priorities change quickly.
🕒 You can work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
💬 You communicate clearly and confidently with pet owners, including during stressful situations, and work well as part of a collaborative veterinary team.
Physical & Safety Requirements
Urgent veterinary care is active, hands-on work. This position requires you to be comfortable working in a clinical environment throughout your shift.
The role may involve:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Spending part of the workday at a computer or workstation
- Bending, kneeling, crouching, balancing, or working close to the floor when necessary
- Lifting or assisting with patients and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Safely handling sick, injured, frightened, or fractious animals
- Working in an environment where exposure to zoonotic diseases, cleaning agents, anesthetic gases, radiation, and other veterinary hospital hazards is possible
- Consistently following clinic safety protocols and applicable workplace requirements
Compensation & Perks
